Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee will speak at a benefit for the Salvation Army on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

Wednesday, Oct. 21

8:30 a.m., Hobnob Mississippi at Agriculture and Forestry Museum (1150 Lakeland Dr.). This annual event provides a chance for business, community and political leaders in the state to network. $75, $50 Mississippi Economic Council members; call 601-969-0022.

Noon, Young Professionals Alliance Power Luncheon at the Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership (201 S. President St.). The YP Alliance welcomes Joel Bomgar as a guest speaker for its monthly luncheon event. Free; call 601-948-7575.

7 p.m., "Expect Change" at the Jackson Convention Complex (105 E. Pascagoula St.). The Honorable Governor Mike Huckabee will speak at this benefit for the Salvation Army. $50; call 601-982-4881.

6 p.m., Third Annual CARA Animal House Party at Hal & Mal's (200 Commerce Street). This evening of music, food, and silent and live auctions will benefit the Community Animal Rescue and Adoption.
