The Mississippi Improv Alliance has not been on the arts scene very long, but have managed to create a large presence in Jackson in a short amount of time. In keeping with its seasonal series, this year's theme for the Winter Wednesday's series in "traction." The event is a "long-form, multi-discipline" improv session aimed at helping participants connect to each other and the community around them. daniel johnson describes the result as "a shared moment of intense listening and awareness focused toward creative response." Sounds cool to me.
