Saturday, May 21
College baseball, Rice at Southern Miss (1 p.m., Hattiesburg, 620 AM): The Golden Eagles have been struggling lately. Their timing is poor.

Sunday, May 22
College baseball, SWAC Tournament, championship, teams TBD (1 p.m., Shreveport, La., ESPNU): There's a good chance one of Mississippi's three teams will make it to the final.

Monday, May 23

Tuesday, May 24
NBA basketball, Eastern Conference finals, Chicago at Miami (7:30 p.m., TNT): If the Bulls keep playing like they did in Game 1, this series ends tonight.

Wednesday, May 25
College baseball, C-USA Tournament, teams TBD (9 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 4 p.m., 7:30 p.m.): Did Southern Miss qualify for this? If not, Trustmark Park will be mighty empty. ... SEC Tournament, teams TBD (9:30 a.m., 1 p.m, Hoover, Ala., CSS): If you make this tourney, there's an excellent chance you will be going to an NCAA Regional.

The Slate is compiled by Doctor S, who reminds you that if you can't play a sport then be one. Huh?
