Boys high school basketball, MHSAA 3A State Tournament, Booneville vs. Forest (10:30 a.m., Mississippi Coliseum): Mississippi's greatest sporting event tips off at the Big House.

Saturday, Feb. 26
Men's college basketball, Alabama at Ole Miss (3 p.m., Oxford, Ch. 12, 97.3 FM): What's left for the Rebels to do but play out the string? ... Jackson State at Mississippi Valley State (4:30 p.m., Itta Bena, 620 AM): Can the Tigers emerge from the Delta Devils' den with a victory? ... Mississippi State at Tennessee (5 p.m., Knoxville, Tenn., ESPN, 105.9 FM): The Bulldogs could use that signature win about now.

Sunday, Feb. 27
NBA basketball, New York at Miami (7 p.m., ESPN): The Knicks and Heat will be far more entertaining than the Oscars.
