Deadline for Committee Action Today

A recent State Integrity Investigation found that Mississippi's anti-corruption laws are stronger than those in most states.

By the end of the today, any bills that don't make it out of committee in the house where they originated die.

As things stood on Monday evening, the House calendar contained 177 items. Another 150 bills are now on the Senate calendar, and more than 2,000 pieces of legislation have been assigned to various committees in the House and Senate since the session began in early January. Needless to say, legislators have a lot of work cut out for them today. Here are today's schedules for both houses:
