Alcorn State has fired first-year football coach Ernest Jones, his attorney says, just days after Jones filed a suit against the school seeking the reinstatement of seven of his assistants.
The assistants were reinstated on Wednesday. It seems unlikely most of them will be staying now.

First, the assistants get fired and reinstated, now the head coach gets fired. What the world is going on down at The Reservation? As long as the Braves are in disarray, that's great for us JSU fans.
