Thursday, Nov. 16
High school basketball, Lanier at Forest Hill (girls, 6 p.m.; boys, 7:30 p.m.): As usual, the Bulldogs are the team to beat in Class 4A. But hardly anybody ever beats them.

Friday, Nov. 17
High school football, MPSA AAA state finals (Clinton): Jackson Prep plays Madison-Ridgeland Academy (7 p.m., 1240 AM/93.1 FM) for the Division I title, while Lamar and Magnolia Heights (1:30 p.m.) battle for the Division II crown. Both games are at Mississippi College.

Saturday, Nov. 18
College football, Millsaps at Carnegie Mellon (11 a.m., Pittsburgh, 1240 AM): The Majors play in the NCAA Division III playoffs for the first time since 1975. ... Alcorn State vs. Jackson State (2:30 p.m., 1400 AM/90.1 FM): The two teams' title hopes are history, but there will still be plenty on the line in Soul Bowl.

Sunday, Nov. 19
Pro football, Cincinnati at New Orleans (noon, Ch. 12/620 AM): Both of these teams were involved in exciting games last Sunday ... and lost. Look for plenty of points in this one.

Monday, Nov. 20
College basketball, Wesley at Mississippi College (7 p.m., Clinton): The Golden Dome plays host to an interdenominational showdown.

Tuesday, Nov. 21
College basketball, Millsaps at Belhaven (7 p.m., 930 AM): The neighborhood rivals hook up on the hardwood.

Wednesday, Nov. 22
Pro basketball, Miami at San Antonio (6:30 p.m., TNT): This could be a preview of the 2007 NBA Finals.
