[Stiggers] An Inner-City Fairy Tale

Kunta Rahsheed X. Toby film working in conjunction with Ghetto Science Productions present "The Adventures of Sista Gurl, Honey Child: An Inner-City Fairy Tale."

Boneqweesha Jones is not your ordinary sista. She attends business school, raises her two children, styles hair for all the sistas on the block, pays those high gas and electric bills, repairs her own vehicles and attends to her ailing grandmomma who cannot afford the medicine from the corner drugstore. An overwhelming and demanding society could break her will.

Nevertheless, she remains composed and maintains a hectic lifestyle. She takes on odd jobs to earn enough money for her cell-phone bill, hair beauty supplies and grandmomma's blood-pressure pills. Her ex-husband, Tico Jones, was laid off his job at the textile plant. He struggles to pay child support on time.

She applies for a part-time position on the early evening shift at Crunchie Burga World. She gets the job, but is late for her first day due to hoopty and babysitter problems. When a co-worker takes her home, Boneqweesha discovers that she has no electricity. The children are safe at Aunt Tee-Tee's house. Her on-the-scene column for Ghetto Science World Entertainment and Style magazine will be late.

Bonqweesha does not break down. In darkness, she finds her bed. And when she is about to fall asleep, the electricity comes back. It's just the day in the life of Sista Gurl, Honey Child!
