Sweden's Caesars have received the RIAA Digital Gold Award for over 100,000 digital downloads of their track "Jerk It Out". The RIAA Digital Gold Award Program was started in August 2004. The track is currently heating up the Pop and Modern Rock radio airwaves across the country, and the video has been added at added at VH1, MTV2, and MTVU. You can catch them perform "Jerk It Out" on Late Night With Conan O'Brien on June 16. Earlier this year, "Jerk It Out" was used in the wildly successful iPod shuffle TV ad campaign and hit the iTunes Top 10 list.
The editors at Rolling Stone recently claimed in their 'Hot List' that, "...we can't stop jerking" and New York magazine called the track, "maddeningly infectious". A newly remixed version of "Jerk It Out" is included on Paper Tigers, out now.
Paper Tigers, produced by the band's Joakim Åhlund and mixed by Michael H. Brauer sees the band take a confident step out of the garage. It's a lively, layered rock album informed as much by Lennon/McCartney as the 13th Floor Elevators and Stooges, and finds the band entering adulthood with a mature style of richly layered power pop without abandoning their youthful sense of taste and irony.
