"Simple and Straight Yet, Strong and Substantive" I have lived in Mississippi for over two decades. Some of the stories about Mississippi have been deeply and profoundly heartbreaking; others have brought me absolute and complete happiness. This commentary is not a narrative. Rather, it is visual and I offer the below as an optic, image, and graphic for "our" flag with the state seal as the centerpiece and simple, yet substantive, words that describe who "we" really are.
