Jim Hood, the incumbent attorney general of Mississippi, is a longtime prosecutor hoping that his centrist politics and track record of advocating for the victims of crime—including domestic-violence victims—will usher him to a fourth term in office. He is Mississippi’s only statewide elected Democrat.
