[Fly] Super Simple Foot Scrub

This is the scenario: Yesterday it was 40 degrees and cloudy. This morning you awake to the weather channel forecast of 80 degrees and clear. Sandal season has finally arrived. You reach into your closet and pull out a really cute dress and those little sandals you found at last summer's clearance sale. You shower, dress, lotion and eagerly slip your feet into your sandals. Yikes. Your outfit is perfect; your feet, however, are far from it.

If you're like me, you probably neglected to give your hardworking little tootsies the love and care they needed over the winter. Summer is right around the corner, and no one wants to see your crusty feet. Here is an easy recipe for an amazing foot scrub that is sure to get your soles and toes ready for the summer. The most amazing aspect of this foot scrub is that you probably have all the necessary ingredients in your kitchen cabinet.

Here's what you'll need for one application:
1 cup sea salt (may be substituted with cornmeal)
3 tablespoons oil (grape-seed oil is my favorite but you can also use canola, olive, vegetable, etc.)
2 tablespoons black tea (Lipton is fine.)
4 drops lemon juice

Before bedtime, brew tea and let cool. To one cup of sea salt, add three tablespoons of grape-seed oil, two tablespoons of cold black tea and four drops of lemon juice. Mix and apply to your tootsies with loofah gloves or a brush. Rinse. Cover feet with a thick layer of olive or grape-seed oil and put on socks. Leave them on overnight. Wake up to a better looking set of toes.

You can double or triple this recipe and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to six months.
