I've wanted to build a gallery wall for years, but the stars hadn't aligned until now. While living in our shoebox apartment in Boston, nailing that many things to the wall was out of the question (plus our collection of art and nicely framed photos was really too paltry until recently to justify putting a whole bunch on one wall anyway). But now we have a large, blank hallway wall that just cried out for our favorite photos and prints.
Many interior decorators and stylish homeowners out there have created much more professional or interesting gallery walls, but I was able to incorporate a few money-saving tricks and do-it-yourself elements to keep mine within my budget while still looking interesting and fun. Here's what I did.
