CNN Political Ticker:

The Washington Post reported Friday that the campaign was running an online ad featuring the headline: "McCain Wins Debate!" and a photo of a smiling McCain and an American flag background. Another featured a quote from McCain campaign manager Rick Davis: "McCain won the debate — hands down."

The Obama campaign quickly circulated the report – which came moments before McCain's team confirmed he would take part in the evening debate after all.

When a week goes bad, it goes bad. Hasn't he fired Rick Davis, YET?

Someone also needs to be held responsible for the poor quality of the ad itself. The photo of McCain is blurry. Sigh.

So he's gonna claim victory for a debate he wanted no part of? Who needs to watch Worst Week on CBS when all you have to do is watch the McCain drama unfold?

On top of not looking presidential at all in flip-flopping about attending the debate, he is no prophet about the outcome either. Hands down Obama won. I was especially struck when McCain said, "Iran has a bad government so they have a bad economy." I had to laugh.

I absolutely hate McCain's overplay of being a POW. He thinks if he can remind American's of that enough, they won't focus on his glaring weaknesses. How many times can he get away with that before someone tells him enough? What am I thinking?
