College Football: USM Star Pleads Not Guilty To Gun Charge

Southern Miss football player Damion Fletcher pleaded not guilty to discharging a weapon in city limits Tuesday in Hattiesburg Municipal Court, the Hattiesburg American reports.

Fletcher, a running back from Biloxi, won the Conerly Trophy in 2007. If convicted, he could receive up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
