Kudos, I hope you have a good turnout. Maybe you will discourage a kid or two from smoking.

NYVIEW, thanks for the sentiment. We are hoping to have a great turnout. There will be a nice story in the Tuesday edition of the Rankin Ledger (www.rankinledger.com) about it, and I'm hoping that adds to the attendance.

wish that was applied to the red room and all jackson restaurants. Isn't it about time for that bill to be resurrected?

NYVIEW and others: Wanted to give an update on the event. The count for attendance for the day was almost 100---- awesome for a first-time event. Shondra "Blaque Butterfly" Patterson was in attendance, and it was good to have her support of the event. There was a wonderful testimony of a woman who smoked for over a decade and how she was able to quit and now serves as the Director of the Partnership for a Healthy Rankin County. Everyone treated me with such respect, and it couldn't have been more appreciated. I am looking for next week's event in Simpson county.

I'm sorry I missed Sunday's event, would definitely like to know about upcoming events like this. As a musician and lover of live music I defnitely don't go out into the clubs as I'd like to. Too much second hand smoke!
