The ‘Ultimate Bridge to Nowhere’

In the veep debate, Gov. Sarah Palin dramatically mischaracterized John McCain's health-care plan, saying among other things that is "revenue-neutral." She set up one of Joe Biden's best moments in a night of many. Here's the Obama campaign's ad response to her health-care gaffe:

Now Palin is trying to tie Obama to some terrorist she claims lives in his neighborhood. I guess the inference is that if Obama was a good citizen he would run the terrorist off himself or move. Surely, Palin wouln't tolerate or allow any racists who terrorize minorities or anyone else in her political party, neighborhood, close circle, governor's staff, family, et al!

Is Palin a racist or klanish hit woman on Obama or what? What's with the obsession with badmouthing Obama unjustifiably and repeatedly? I don't remember a vice presidential candidate being this vicious before. Can she not do anything else? When will Obama forget she's a woman and do a smackdown on her? She has earned it!

Palin associates with seccesionists (her husband) who hate our flag and McCain associates with violent extremists who urge people to kill law enforcement agents (G. Gordon Liddy) and who bilked elderly people out of their life savings (Charles Keating who make McCain one of the "Keating Five").

The taxpayers had to cough up over three billion dollars to pay for the felonious acts committed by McCains vacation buddy.

The Ayers thing is a non issue to me since the connection is flimsy at best.

It only plays with folks looking for reasons to paint him as an Islamic "Manchurian Candidate".

Right now the media is trying to justify all that Whitley. BUt I totally agree with you. McCain senior campaign advisor was on good morning america and basically made the point, how can they bring up something that happened in the late 80's to early 90's? My rebuttal would have been, how could the McCain campaign bring up something that happened in the mid 60's, when Obama was like 5, had no parts of what so ever!?

So if you are going to play guilt by association, judge your own people first before you try to cast that shadow on someone else!

It is a strange tactic to try to tie Obama to Ayers (Obama was 8 when he did his stuff), considering the people McCain associates with as an adult.

And the Keating stuff is directly tied to his ability to fix the economy.

I have a new thread just about the new attacks on Obama. There are good mainstream media reports out about Keating. I'll start one about that after a lunch meeting.

Speaking of Keating, this video provides a reminder of exactly what happened at Lincoln Savings & Loan, and how John McCain played a key role in that financial disaster and in the financial crisis we're experiencing today.
