Many thanks Donna for keeping us informed. It is not always convenient to stay on the internet. I've not heard anything on the news.

I don't think it's been reported elsewhere, yet.

Absolutely NO!!!!!! where. None of the news sites in Jackson, at all.

Hat tip to WAPT for picking up this story and crediting the JFP. ;-)

WOW! How refreshing to hear the credit for JFP in the WAPT report. Not once, but twice they gave ya'll credit. Thanks to all at the JFP who continually dig deep to report the truth when no one else in this town wants to. You all continue to show what real reporting is all about. I for one, thank you!

Thanks, old&tired;. That partly makes up for the fact that we're still here at 10:23 p.m. working on the friggin' election issue to give people more than sound bites. It's good to hear credit from television—those who make all these many thousands of dollars on election attack ads when we scrap for every dime. But we can hold our heads high.

Sorry if that sounded bitter. I'm tired, and my overworked staff is, too. And I'm sick of this election cycle, if you can't tell.

No, not at all.....Just look at my screen name and always remember.
"Faith without works is dead."
Does my screen name make any more sense now? Sometimes we who work for truth and justice without rest, can sound a little bitter every now and again. But the finished product always like a breath of fresh air. So now take a minute and inhale deeply.

I know. I'm an enternal optimist when it comes to human potential.

But when I watch Democrats in this state during campaign season dance around acting like clowns, my resolve starts to waver a little.

And I've been at my computer 20 minutes shy of 14 hours straight right now, without a break, trying to get past the sound bites that they all seem to cherish. So bear with me while I take a few minutes to wonder why Adam spends so many hours researching and telling the real story about stuff like tort reform and political witchhunts.

<deep breath>

Last page just went to the printer. Tune in tomorrow. It'll be a good issue. And hopefully p!ss some people off.

Good night, and good luck.

Yeah...but at least they should have had the courage (and ethical bearing) to credit JFP, undoubtedly Chris Joyner's initial 'source'. It appears that Chris danced around that by saying that DA Peterson said that the indictment was handed down three weeks ago but only served "a few days ago".

We know the voting issue will be excellent. Get some rest and have some fun afterward.

The mother earned this indictment if she failed to call for help for the victim and aided her son after the crime. I can't wait to learn the whole story of this, and hear the defense or explanation on behalf of the mother.

Right, Kacy. My guess is he called her last night after we broke it. The Clarion-Ledger isn't known for crediting other media for stories that they then follow.

I called WAPT and spoke with a young woman last night at 9 pm and told them to read your story.

I figured it was a matter of time before she was indicted.
