Not Yet out of the Woods

I heard Barbara Walters say that Obama has a sign that says "No walking on water here" or something to that effect. He can't do it all. He creates the policies and depends on those under him to execute those policies. He is also depending on the public to let him know what we want and need him to do. Bottom line, we must be patient. We didn't get into this mess overnight, and it can't be fixed overnight.

i agree! of course, with the economy the way it is, i wonder if people are going to hunker down and get into self-focus mode.

Good job, young blood. I'm hearing that President Bush is exploring whether he can leave early without Cheney becoming the president for a brief period of time. He reportedly confided to a few close friend that the country needs Obama and the Democrats desperately, and he went on to say he is sick and tired of republicans and he doesn't believe they're good for America. He repeortedly said further he knew this long before other American figured it out, but just couldn't quit or change policies in midscream. While in deep distress about the failed republican administration consisting of neo-cons, conservatives, wangbuts, slangnuts, dangbuts, plankheads, mopheads, maggotheads and white supremacists, he and Laura purchased a big a__ house in Dallas, and he joked he hope he's not as hated in Texas as he is elsewhere. He sounded a lot like he wanted to switch parties. We don't want him.

President Bush had a press conference today and informed the country that "we're in a decession." He quickly corrected himself and said "deception." He then said, "Hell, that was my moral policy for 8 years that I don't want to talk about anymore."

Bush finally said "we're in a recssion" upon great urging and prompting from the media and his staff, and shamefully admitted that he didn't feel good about taking a country that was financilly, economically, morally, politically and socially well of or in tact at the beginning of his reign and ruinig or destroying it. He finally joked he was afraid he may go down as America's worse presdident. Cheney jumped in and said how about the world's worse president, and added you're lucky the people are looking to impeach and flog you.

I have never seen a press conference like this before.
