Grammy Award winning rapper T.I., also known as “TIP,” “The King of the South,” or simply “The King,” for the first time ever will be in the capitol city this weekend.
Yes, rap fans and party goers, it’s going down Saturday, Aug. 18, at The Spot (6352 Ridgewood Road). Be sure to get there early because I’m predicting that will be a sold-out event.
The platinum selling recording artist is once again trailblazing through the music and film industry with his current new single, “Go Get It” and upcoming films in the work.
The Atlanta, Ga., native made the Billboard Top Artist of the Year Charts in 2011, 2010, and 2009, but hasn’t had an album to top of the charts since his 2010 “No Mercy,” which debuted at No. 4 on the US Billboard 200 charts.
From leading roles in blockbuster films to topping Billboard Charts throughout his career and winning countless honors at several awards shows, including the American Music Awards, BET Awards, MTV Awards, Teen Choice Awards, T.I., is most definitely a good look for the Jackson entertainment scene.

I heard that he only performed parts of three songs, then gave the middle finger and left. If that's true, I lost any respect I had for T.I. I would've been pissed if I were there.

Golden, you should probably not make a judgement on whether or not to respect T.I. based on what you've heard. There could be more to the story. #JustSayn
