The vision of a tennis and sports facility that would be among the finest in the country became reality in the mid-60's when W.E. "Slew" Hester, a Jackson native and USTA president, became the key founder and charter member of River Hills Club. Hester was a pioneer in the explosion of tennis throughout the U.S. at that time and was instrumental in building the U.S. Tennis Center in Flushing Meadow, N.Y., home of the U.S. Open.

The vision continues today as River Hills completes at $11,000,000 building project that takes Hester's accomplishment into the 21st century. The scope of improvements begins with the new 24,000 sq.ft. clubhouse and includes and expanded fitness center, Pool Cabana, new Teen Wing located by our Jr. Olympic sized pool and state-of-the-art Hydro tennis courts.
