Readers' Designs for New Mississippi Flag #MSFlagDIY

Photo detail

The blue vertical stripe on the hoist side of the flag symbolise the mighty River Mississippi that provides the state with both its name and its western border. The remainder of the field is a bright red in colour and upon the field division is charged with the white magnolia flower. Both the colours and the flower itself represent the official state tree, flower and nickname. -Philip 'Doc' Tibbetts
