As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
This was when I was really young, but I probably wanted to be a professional football player or some kind of professional athlete, which was stupid.

What tools could you not live or work without?
A computer and friends or rather relationships ... they help makes things really happen.
What steps brought you to this position?
I started out recording myself. I naively thought I could do better than professionals. But really it just takes time. There are so many creative people in Mississippi, and there's a need for someone who would care and produce quality work.
What's the strangest aspect of your job?
Trying to balance art and business—it's a pretty strange balance.
What's the best thing about your job?
I get to work with amazing people and build lasting relationships.
What advice do you have for others who would like to become a recording studio owner?
Learn to treat people right before anything else—it'll take you so far. Learn the business side as well. Plus real life experience is just as valuable as education.
