"Slumdog Millionaire" is worthy of all the accolades it's received. The coming-of-age plot depicts the beautifully tragic plight of two Indian orphans as the two boys develop into young men. The film is the framework story of Jamal, a contestant on the Indian version of "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" and of his childhood. With each "Millionaire" question, Jamal flashes back to an instant in his life—mostly horrific—when he learned the answer. At the same time the story line progresses past the game show and into the future. The cast and storyline are impeccable, and the music is perfect (M.I.A. appears a few times on the soundtrack). With four Golden Globes under its belt already, I could definitely see "Slumdog" taking the Best Picture Oscar this year.
