Oxford Film Festival: Feb 9 – Feb 12.; Also at The Lyric Oxford (1006 Van Buren Ave., Oxford). The celebration of independent cinema includes screenings, panels, concerts and an awards ceremony. Fondren Theatre Workshop's 10-Minute Play Project: Feb 10 – Feb 11.; Teams of writers, directors and actors have 24 hours to write and rehearse short plays. Jackson Miss Hospitality Pageant: Sat, Mar 10, 11:00 am.; Women ages 18-24 compete to participate in the stage pageant in July in Hattiesburg for scholarships and prizes.; Jackson Convention and Visitors Bureau.; $275 pageant entry fee.

Spring Dance Concert: Mar 23 – Mar 24.; The Belhaven University Dance Ensemble presents classical and contemporary ballet, modern dance and cultural dance.
