I saw this today, and I'm thankful that the evening news didn't begin with a report about a robbery or shooting. :)
For nearly 26 years the restaurant has been on Lakeland Drive. The owner says the new location will give him a chance to revamp his business and appeal to a broader customer base. The business will be in the 3000 Fondren building that’s going up now. The development will also include office and retail space. Nick’s Restaurant owner says he was attracted to the area because of a buzz surrounding the Fondren community. “You have a community within the city limits of Jackson that is tenaciously inspired. They’ve got their own identity. And I think everybody there works really hard to improve that identity,“ said owner Nick Apostle. Apostle plans to close the restaurant in December for the holidays and reopen in it’s new location to make the transition easy for customers and employees.
The restaurant is supposed to be opening in Fondren in January.

WLBT teased it last night during prime-time programming by saying that a Jackson restaurant is moving. At first, I thought it was gonna be one that was moving to the suburbs, but I'm I'm glad that Nick's will stay in the city and be in, perhaps, an even better location.

YAY! One of my all-time favorites.
Lady, it's a bit pricy, but GOOD food. Classic dishes -- steaks, duck, pork tenderloin, fish, and delicious salads too. Perfect place for a special occasion. I can't wait to see the new spot.

I love Nicks. They have a faithful weekly customer in me. I work downtown and this is just perfect location.

Is this the same Nick Apostle that had Nick’s and Athena's restaurants in Greenville in the early 80's? The Nick's logo looks the same.
