Trading One Depot For Another

While The Home Depot in South Jackson is relocating to Clinton, a new Food Depot debuts on W. Northside Drive this week. Being the nosy person that I am, I just had to take a peek.

While running errands today, I figured that it would be a good time to check out the new store. Going through the front door (with a blue ribbon hung nearby), I was greeted by two friendly employees. The place was bustling with patrons who were apparently as excited as I am that they once again didn't have to travel far for a jug of milk. (Yes, I got one two. Hey, it was sale for 2 for $5!)

I picked up a few other things (ketchup on sale for 78 cents) and took myself for a little tour. The atmosphere was as if Save-Rite, or Sack and Save for that matter, never left. They currently have no pharmacy, but I hope to see that change since Jackson-Hinds Comprehensive Health Center is practically across the street.

Well, I hope you all get a chance to check it out. Meanwhile, I'm going to taste test these lime shrimp flavored ramen noodles I bought.

What's up L.W., why haven't you posted anything on Boondocks? (sp)MaGruder has lots of people mad right now. I'm busy now but would certainly read and comment.

You know what else I would love for somebody to write or post something on: interacial friendships and dating. I would love to know what people around Jackson think of this. As if I don't already know!

I honestly forgot after having trouble with the Web site. I'll look it up again, and if I see something juicy, I'll blog it for you.

Hmmmmm. I'll think about it.
