Look at All the 2009 Chick Ball Art and Prize Donors!

With the 5th Annual Chick Ball just days away, we are excited to celebrate the triumphs of domestic violence survivors, as well as the creative talents of women artists and musicians. The evening will also include a silent auction of art and gifts. All proceeds of the Chick Ball, including winning bids in the silent auction, go directly to the Center For Violence Prevention. Here's a list of some of our generous donors. View a full color shopping guide in the current Jackson Free Press.

All, look at this amazing list of Chick Ball art-stuff donors! And it's still growing! There will be photos of items received by last week in the issue. We're working on an photo gallery now, so it's not too late to get into the mix. Please let us know if you want to donate art, items or money to help domestic abusers stop abusing! , or call 601.362.6121 ext. 16.

When the Jackson community of business owners, artists and residents decide to come together to get something done, we do it!

Cheers to all of you.

whoo hooo! this sounds like a great list. I have found more amazing bargains on really nice stuff at the Chick Ball auction. Some items go high, but then there are others where you can get lucky and get a super nice framed photo for like $15 or an original painting for $25. IT's COOOOL - and for a great cause.

I've got a great piece of art from Rebekah Potter hanging in my house now that cost $15 at the Chick Ball art auction two years ago.

I admire my Ginger Williams original every day at work (which I fought Donna mightily for in last year's auction!)

This year I am poor, so I won't be able to battle quite as much -- but I'm still taking something good home!!

I've got a wonderful Ginger Williams on my office wall from Chick Ball, and several other pieces. I don't remember what it cost, but if *I* bought it, it had to have been affordable!

The Chick Ball silent auction is *always* fun and affordable.

Still taking items, all! We have way over 100 donations at this point, but every item brings money. So, bring it!

What time will the silent auction end? I'm definitely coming, but I have 2 things planned that night. I want to make sure I am there to bid (and re-bid!).

posted by News Junkie on 07/21/09 at 03:32 PM

The silent auction bidding will end around 10pm.

Andi,
Are you the lucky one who ended up with Ginger Williams' Paisley Girl? If so, I'm jealous.

Is that what it's called? :) It's the one that was the cover for the JFP Chick Issue last year. I love it!!
