Folks, our brand-new Politics Blog is alive and kicking! We're debuting it this week with special Oxford debate coverage. We've got Bryan Doyle and Ward Schaefer, and soon Matt Heindl, Kenya Hudson and Adam Lynch on the ground (had to say that) in Oxford, and I'm here in Jacktown manning the controls. (And helping host the debate watch party Friday at Hal & Mal's; join us!). Meantime, though, head over to Alt.Debate 2008 and join the conversation. (Don't forget to grab your RSS feed as new entries should be coming in fast and furious as we head toward Friday.)
BTW, Bryan Doyle is heading the blogging team there, and as a former editor of Ole Miss' Daily Mississippian, he knows his way around. If you have ideas for him, e-mail him at bryan (at) jacksonfreepress (dot) com. Weird debate news encouraged.

And, all, we have a new section on the JFP Events calendar for political events. Feel free to go add your own, regardless of party.
