How to Pack a Tiny Purse

When you’re trying to juggle a filled-to-the-rim martini in one hand and a handsome date on the other, a bag big enough to hold a small child can be a hindrance. You need a free hand for handshakes while flitting about the Chick Ball like a graceful social butterfly. The solution is to downsize to a tiny purse with only the minimal essentials: license or ID, money (preferably in credit card form as it takes up less space), face powder with mirror in the compact, lip color, a few business cards, cell phone, breath drops and maybe a camera.
Most department stores, such as Maison Weiss, offer free makeup or perfume samples with a makeover or purchase. Grab a few and keep them on hand for parties.
Men’s coats have bigger pockets, so they have room for an extra cell phone and camera. Let your date hold on to them. If you are fabulously single, go for very small phones and cameras that will fit into a tiny purse next time you make a purchase.
If you are the kind of girl who carries your entire desktop and makeup drawer with you, go ahead and bring your luggage, but leave it in the car and only take in what you absolutely need.

Good article! For those women who sweat - er, perspire, you can always find small deodorant samples at various places. They fit well in a tiny bag.
