Healthcare “forum” being held this Sunday in Brandon

Given the area demographics and out-of-the-way venue (Nov. 8th, 4:30 pm at the Rankin Co. Multipurpose Pavilion) this one doesn't seem to be so very open for 'open debate'.

Right, James. The flyer I have bills the event as a “Tea Party Double Header,” exclaiming that “The Teaparty Express Arrives in Brandon.” We’ll see just how much open discussion (which would actually make it a “forum") they allow in one hour with six speakers—all of whom seem to be conservative or ultra-conservative Republicans and Libertarians.

My favorite part of the flyer is the “Countdown to Judgment Day” banner at the bottom. What does that mean?

I highly doubt this will be a forum as it will be a shout-down-health-care-reform debate fest. And where is the multipurpose pavilion at anyway? I didn’t know there was one.

Tempting to turn up with a sign to join the protesters saying
Healthcare
I’ve got mine.
F*** everyone else.

Gotta wonder if that would make the news…
