Financial Wellness

I'm really awful about letting go of ideas and things that no longer serve me. Once upon a time, I pulled down a fat little corporate paycheck. It was great while it lasted, but these days, that is not my reality.

Don't get me wrong: I'm far from destitute. I purposely chose a new path, though, which includes a smaller paycheck. Without going into the gory details, suffice to say that I've been hanging on to some things that came with my former lifestyle for far too long.

Someone once told me that there is no "hover" for human beings. We're either moving backward or forward. As regards my financial wellness, forward is not the word I'd use. And I do mean "wellness" in the same sense as physical or mental wellness. In fact, not having financial wellness in my life has negatively affected both of those in various ways.

Now that I'm aware of the problem, I'm taking forward steps again. It may be one step forward and two back (you know, like life), but I'm determined to live sufficiently (dare I say prosperously?) within my means again—and soon.

Good luck, Ronni. It’s like a jungle sometimes. I long for the days again when I had so much less and wanted very litle. Now I got lots of schick I wish I didn’t have. I’m relieved as I give it away. Since as the preacher says “you take to the crave what you really own”, I hope to be down to owning bare minimum when the Lawd calls me home.
