Surely you've heard about Imus' latest racial episode. This time, he commented on Adam Jones (who doesn't want to be referred to as PacMan anymore). Mr. Imus made reference to the fact the what people should be made at is the amount of times Jones has had run ins with the law. I guess he was saying that the reason this guy has been arrested 6 times is because he's black.
Same guy just got back on the air after being released for refering to a black girl's basketball team as "nappy headed ho's" Now, I'm not buying this at all. I don't disagree with his statements....he could have a point. Maybe the fact that Jones was participating in criminal activity had nothing to do with why he was arrested....it's all because he's black. Okay that's sarcasm. Point is, Imus, you can't come out making statements like this, when we are still trying to determine if you really meant the apology from the last outlandish and racially motivated statement you made.
What's up with this guy? What's he doing? Is it an attempt to win the black folk over? Is he just trying to create drama for his show?

COMMENTSHe's a racist. And don't give me the what's-in-his-heart nonsense, anybody. If you use racism to further yourself (or your ratings), you're a racist.

isn't only a racist, but he's not a smart one. I think he is really lacking in good sense. He doesn't have any idea what he is doing. I take a bigger issue with these folks who are giving him a outlet to behave in this manner. Why is he on the radio at all? His career in this industry should have ended with the nappy headed comment he made, in my opinion. He thinks he making idiotic statements that are controversial even if he makes people disgusted with him is still a good thing...I mean they say all publicity is good publicity. I'm sure that's why he's even back on the air.

As bad as at the comments about the Rutgers women's basketball team were, I could've dismissed it as a very stupid comment (and I did support his subsequent firing from MSNBC and CBS Radio). However, this comment leaves no room for error for Imus and now he must pay whatever price he's charged.

They're not going to do anything to him this time. He's hiding behind his black producer and two black co-hosts.

Since when did it become offensive or wrong to imply blacks are criminally inclined? Aren't there facts to prove it anyway? Blacks need to get real and overcome such small matter. I'm surprised whites have been able to run the world as well as they have with minorities, especially blacks, always accusing them of unfounded racism.
Come on now, stop putting all this pressure on good white folks. If Imus is run off again, three important blacks will lose thier jobs too. Please!!!!!!!!!

I don't like Don Imus, and I don't listen to his show because it's boring. But when I read the transcript of what he said, I thought he was inferring that Pacman was targeted by the law because he's black rather than inferring he was prone to criminal behavior because he's black.

Kudzu, you may be right since you're a king and all and speak from such a high place. Plus I like your inference better than the other one I got. Moreso how can anyone infer Imus is racist when much of his posse is comprised of black front men or stage negroes, as some people like to call them. Neither the republican party nor Imus would hire blacks who are simply out for what they can get and who have no regards for the representations, conditions and situations of other blacks. Surely, Mr. producer and Sir co-hosts have our backs, and I bet they refused to take the jobs until Imus convinced them he wasn't racist.

I was just joking in my commentary. If a racist he would have just hired one Negro to look otherwise. Personally, I would have said I'm dating a couple of sisters right now so I can't be racist.

Speaking of racism, Chiman Rai was found guilty today of hiring a hit man to kill his daugter-in-law because she was black and his son indian (East Indian). He previously owned Weeland Grocery in Jackson where black folks caused him to live quite well. We were good enough to purchase his substandard groceries but not to marry his son. The trial enters the second phase now to determine life or death.
