Cold Weather Shelters
If you or someone you know needs a warm place to go in the midst of this nasty winter blast we're having, the city of Jackson has several options available. Verbatim:
The following shelters will be open during the Cold Weather, beginning tonight:
• Brumfield Shelter (1244 South Gallatin Street) – Men’s Shelter
• Gateway Rescue Mission (328 S. Gallatin Street) – Men’s Shelter
• Matt’s House (343 Adelle Street) – Women’s Shelter
New Jerusalem Church will be opening their gym at 1950 Flowers during the freezing temperatures. JATRAN will transport people (Men and Women) from the Opportunity Center at 845 West Amite Street at 6:00pm or when they are full. JATRAN will bring people back to Opportunity Center on Amite St. in the morning.
