The City Council is holding a special 3pm mtg TODAY to vote on a resolution about the future site of the Civil rights museum. We need concerned citizens to show up for public comment and go ON RECORD with your support of a downtown location.

We are not out of the woods yet and we need the same intensity that we had at the press conference at City Hall today.

If you are free or if you can take your lunch around that time PLEASE be in attendance and spead the word!!

TODAY @ 3pm..Im getting word that some Tougaloo supporters will be there to speak as well.

Rats, I have to babysit. If I send you a statement, could you read it, or is that allowed?

Good luck with your important mission today. I wish I could be in Jackson to show support. Building the museum downtown is of crucial importance to the area. Carry on1

Who is actually going to decide where the museum is going to be?

the Governor..March 11(at the Woolfolk building) is the proposed vote on the "recommendation" The Guv then has to approve or deny it. But seeming as though the commission is full of his supporters from the African American community(the tougaloo grads)..You do the math...Thus the outrage.

Equals Tougaloo, suxs don't it? Are you planning on camping out on the Guv's lawn the night of 10th?

Is it too soon to ask how it went?
