Breaking: Seale Convicted

From The Associated Press:

A federal jury on Thursday convicted reputed Klansman James Ford Seale of kidnapping and conspiracy in the 1964 deaths of two black teenagers in southwest Mississippi.

Seale, 71, had pleaded not guilty to charges related to the deaths of Charles Eddie Moore and Henry Hezekiah Dee. The 19-year-olds disappeared from Franklin County on May 2, 1964, and their bodies were found later in the Mississippi River.

This is a yet one more great day for Mississippi! One more step to right the wrongs and heal the wounds. 43 years is a shameful mark for justice but it seems to be the "norm" for the old Mississippi justice. As long as we don't let it end here. May everyone involved find the peace of heart that is long overdue.

Yes, this is indeed great news for Mississippi. I hope that there may be more cases like this one.

Thank you, Jesus. I can't wait to see Thomas Moore's reaction on TV. I know that he and the Dee family are so relieved.

God bless Mr. Thomas Moore; I know he feels so good that at last he has gotten justice for his brother. I hope their mother is watching from heaven. That's what it's all about.

Justice has been served. Way late, but better than never.

Even the BBC picked up on this one. As my friends here love to note "it was mentioned on the BBC, which, you'll find, is the most respected news in the world." I was glad to note that the video gave credit to the JFP work done.

Which video, JRT? Are you talking about the BBC, or the CBC doc? I doubt the latter, being that the CBC cut the JFP's role out of the film in a rather dramatic fashion.
