The art gallery listings page needs an overhaul, and I need your help. [willis] Jacksonian Featured by JFP Auditions for American Idol

Santore Bracey was featured as a Jacksonian in the Jackson Free Press back in March 2006. On July 3, he participated in Fox 40's American Idol auditions and was chosen as one of the five top contestants for that day. (You can see his audition here.)

[willis] Unarmed Marine Killed After Off-duty Officer Shoots Him Six Times

What makes this even worse is that the officer shot at him 13 times. From WBAL TV:

According to Baltimore City police, Tyrone Brown -- a 32-year-old Marine who has served two tours of duty in Iraq -- was shot at 13 times at close range, with six shots hitting him. He died a short time later.

The incident happened outside a nightclub in Mount Vernon.

Baltimore police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said the officer, identified as 36-year-old Gahji Tshamba, shot Brown after Brown made advances ...

From CNN:

Coleman died after being stricken with a brain hemorrhage following an accident at his home in Santaquin, Utah, on Wednesday, a hospital spokeswoman said. He was rushed by ambulance to a Provo hospital, Coleman's spokesman had said earlier Friday.

[willis] Ex-Mayor of Detroit Gets Five Years

This just doesn't seem to end, does it? From mlive.com:

Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick is heading back behind bars.

Wayne County Circuit Judge David Groner on Tuesday sentenced Kilpatrick to between 18 months and five years in prison for violating the terms of his probation stemming from his 2008 guilty plea on obstruction of justice charges.

Allowing for time served, Kilpatrick could spend as little as 14 months in prison but will be required to resume restitution payments to the ...
