Fine. I admit it. I watched Regis and Kelly and The View. I'm drawn to celebrity feud like Godiva and Elvis Merlot. It makes me laugh, it humbles me and it makes me feel like I'm a celebrity too since we all screw up sometimes.
We are all made of stars.
And you know what? I'm kind of loving Kelly Ripa. I believe it's NEVER okay to shush the leading lady, even if she is the lead AND she's a lady. But that's just me. Rosie's view was Kelly's reaction was somewhat homophobic. Would Kelly ... read on »
Marines just say no to Jesus dolls in Toys for Tots Drive.
Makes sense to me. I mean, what kid wants a talking Jesus doll for Christmas? I think Jesus would donate the PS3 to tell the truth.
Who knew that Gloria and Jane would create a media that my husband adores? Not those tauting the "feminazi" rhetoric for sure. He came home a few weeks ago raving over a station he's been listening to, and he thinks I'll love it too. Well, duh. I've been listening online since July, but now I can listen on 780 AM in the car. I have to say he's preferring this talk radio to the usual agenda-driven choices.
Greenstone Media's name comes from an Alice Walker story called "Finding the ... read on »
D.C. might have found the answer to world peace, the desire for more intimacy and the Hug for Frank's Monkey.
The Cuddle Party offers touch and hugs and even kisses, as moderated by the Cuddle Lifeguard, for those who might just "need a hug." Or perhaps this is the answer for women who don't get enough snuggling from their partners without the pressure for sex. Or even those who need a good snuggle while his or her partner enjoys a post-coital snore.

What a delicious post over on DailyKos by Georgia10 about Ann Kornblut's new book, "The Ascent of a Woman."
I think Kornblut does a good job of running through the possible explanations and pointing out their shortcomings. The excuse that the right woman hasn't come along, as she points out, "would seem to explain everything and nothing."
Rather, some think that the cause is a "pipeline" problem; there are not enough women in political positions to work their way to the highest executive ... read on »
Tonight, the 8 p.m. bill deadline came and went at the Mississippi Legislature without an agreement out of conference. Thus, the abortion ban bill died.
More details as they develop ...
This one's for whatever chick-related item is on your mind. And, yes, guys (or, at the least the ones who respect chicks) can post here, too. (Tom?)
OK, grrls, here's your open thread for shopping this week. One can't talk about politics and philosophy all the time, you know.
