The Lauren Rogers Museum of Art, along with the Laurel Garden Club. will present its 10th Annual Garden Lecture on Friday, Feb. 10 at 10:30 a.m. in the LRMA American Gallery.
Susan Haltom, preservation and maintenance coordinator of the Eudora Welty garden in Jackson, MS, will present a lecture on the Welty garden. Haltom is a garden designer and has published in Mississippi Magazine, Old House Journal, and Magnolia, the journal of the Southern Garden History Society. Along with Jane Roy Brown, Haltom co-wrote One Writer’s Garden: Eudora Welty’s Home Place, with photography by Langdon Clay.
Following the lecture, One Writer’s Garden will be available for purchase and signing in the LRMA Gift Shop. Lunch will then be served at the historic Rogers-Green House, located across the street from the Museum. Tickets are $35 per person and include lunch. Seating is limited.
