Fleet Feet Sports and Runner’s FUEL have joined forces to empower and educate you through hands on nutrition workshops led by a Registered Dietitian. Information provided will cut through the confusion; provide clear tips to eat healthy and steps to become physically active.
Program Overview:
The wellness program will last 6 months with 6 one-hour educational presentations.
All workshops will be held at Fleet Feet Sports at 7pm.
February 2 - Kick Off– Setting Goals
March 1 – Menu Planning and Grocery Shopping
April 2 – Portion Distortion and the Truth about Carbohydrates
May 3 – Decoding Food Labels
June 7 – Cooking Right Cooking Light
July 12 –FUEL Your Performance - Grand Prize Winner
The goal of the educational series is to encourage the adoption of proper eating patterns that lead to lasting behavioral changes. Education influences the habits of people. Behavior can be deliberately transformed by influencing one’s knowledge and skills.
Pricing and Contest:
Weight loss contest will include a onetime $100 fee. Participation in the contest includes admission into all 6 presentations, monthly weigh-in, emails of encouragement and potential prizes. Prizes for over all % weight loss, perfect attendance, endurance achievement and door prizes.
Don’t want to take part in the contest? No worries. General admission is a $10.00 fee at the door on the night of the presentation. No commitment is made. No tickets required. Potential door prizes.
