Drug Policy Hearing

The ACLU of MS invites you to a Drug Policy Hearing at the MS State Capitol Building - Room 409 - Senate Drug Policy Committee hosted by Committee Chair - Senator David Jordan The purpose of this hearing is to discuss the findings from our report on drug sentencing, NUMBERS GAME: The Vicious Cycle of Incarceration in Mississippi's Criminal Justice System. The report included a number of recommendations including a restructuring of our sentencing guidelines (similar to North Carolina), the establishment of a sentencing commission and stronger regulations for the use of confidential informants in drug task force work.
