The Historic Farish Street Baptist Church located at 619 N. Farish Street will celebrate its Annual Black History Month African Marketplace Expo on Saturday, February 25, 2012, in the Fellowship Hall from 10:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. The theme for this year’s Expo is “Black Women in American Culture and History”. We will celebrate the legacy of Mary Church Terrell, a noted Civil Rights Activist, Educator and Professional Lecturer through The Mary Church Terrell Literary Club and will be joined by Mrs. Clara Reed, CEO of Mid-Delta Home Health of Belzoni, MS. Mid-Delta Home Health with employment of 600, ranks in the top 25% of home health agencies nationwide.
Local merchants and artists will showcase their goods and talents and soul food will be available for sampling. The public is invited to attend, and/or participate as vendors, artists, or performers.
