- The city of Jackson offers the part-time job program to low-income seniors ages 55 and up. Participants receive assistance in finding a job during the training process. Applicants must have state ID, a Social Security card, proof of income and a utility bill to sign up.

- On Tuesday May 22, 2012, the Mississippi Volunteer Lawyers Project (MVLP) will host a “Know Your Rights” Public Seminar on Expungements 101 at the Hinds Community College Jackson Campus, from 4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Members of the public are encouraged to attend to learn more about this important area of the law. Attorneys will be on hand to discuss and answer any questions concerning Mississippi expungement laws. Light refreshments will be provided.
