- Larry Taylor, author of the novel "My Best Day's Your Worst Nightmare," is holding a benefit book signing at the Jackson State University Bookstore from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. All proceeds will go to the Duncan family for Antwain Duncan, who is being treated at St. Jude Children's Hospital for bone cancer.

- The Lauren Rogers Museum of Art Gift Shop will hold its annual "Holiday Open House." Local author Karen Rasberry will sign Travelers in Search of Vacancy from 10 a.m. until noon. At the same time, jewelry artist Robbin Lee will present a trunk show of her hand-crafted jewelry. Robert St. John will sign "Dispatches from My South" from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
