Auditions are now being scheduled for the Mississippi Boychoir. Interested parents of boys, in grades 1 through 12, are asked to call 601 665-7374, visit www.mississippiboychoir.org or email mississippiboychoir@comcast.net.
Invitations to membership are based on the boys’ natural talent, regardless of economic status, ethnicity, race or previous vocal training. Although the program is tuition based, scholarships are available based on need.
The Mississippi Boychoir is entering its 18th year as the only incorporated, independent, non-profit boychoir in the state. Its mission continues as one not only to train voices of musically talented young men and showcase them in performances, but to provide training in leadership,self-discipline, responsibility, and respect for others. Making new friends and having fun are additional advantages of this diverse organization.
The Mississippi Boychoir is funded in part by the Mississippi Arts Commission, the National Endowment of the Arts, and numerous corporate partners and foundations.
