Pre-Columbian Ceramics Exhibit

In the public corridor. See ancient ceramic pieces from Peru, Mexico and Central America.

The objects displayed in the cases of the Mu¬seum’s lobby originate from ancient cultures which flourished in Peru, Mexico and Central America prior to the arrival of Europeans. Most of the objects on view are Peruvian pre-Columbian ceramics, which were donated to or loaned to the Museum by Sam Olden of Yazoo City, Miss. Also represented are Mesomerican cultures, including the Maya and the Olmec.
