History
Sid Thompson started DoubleShotz in Dallas, Texas, in 1990 with the concept of playing two songs in a row by every artist (primarily Texas-based R&B like SRV, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne, Thunderbirds, ZZ Top, etc.) mixed with a vast repertoire of classic rock from AC/DC, the Beatles and CCR to Led Zeppelin, as well as southern rock from the Allman Brothers and CDB to Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Sid brought DoubleShotz back to his home state of Miss. in 1998 and has been fortunate to have some of the best bass players and drummers in Jackson to join the three-piece band.
